About ArtSci AI

Who We Are

Built by intelligence practitioners for the age of AI

ArtSci AI helps intelligence teams – both established and aspiring – build the skills, methods, and technology to use AI responsibly in real analytic work.

We are a knowledge workflow design firm focused on the "art" and "science" of AI-augmented analysis: training analysts in the new discipline of working with AI, translating expert tradecraft into reusable Knowledge Task Profiles, and providing easy-to-use tools that help teams produce timely, defensible intelligence at scale.

We do not believe intelligence teams should have to choose between speed and rigor. Our work is built around a different premise:

AI should accelerate intelligence analysis without stripping out sourcing, judgment, confidence, review, or accountability.

Why ArtSci AI Exists

Closing the gap between generic AI and defensible analysis.

Intelligence teams are under pressure to produce more insight, faster, from more data, with fewer people and higher stakes.

Generic AI tools can help, but they also create new risks. They can produce seemingly credible answers without clear sourcing, confidence, assumptions, or tradecraft. They can make weak analysis look strong. And they can push organizations toward reliance on generic chatbots rather than tradecraft-governed systems.

ArtSci AI exists to close that gap. We help teams move from unstructured, ad hoc AI use to structured, defensible analytic workflows that make expert reasoning explicit, preserve source and provenance discipline, and keep human judgment at the center.

Our Operating Belief

The best intelligence work has always lived at the intersection of art and science.

The art is expert judgment.

Knowing what matters, asking better questions, understanding context, weighing uncertainty, and recognizing when the answer is not yet good enough.

The science is disciplined method.

Structured workflow, repeatable process, evidence handling, review, evaluation, and clear standards for quality.

AI raises the stakes for both. That is why we build around tradecraft first, technology second.

What We Do

Training, tradecraft, and technology for real analytic work.

Training

We train analysts, managers, and teams in the new discipline of AI-augmented analysis.

Our training is not generic structured analytic techniques or prompt instruction. It teaches people how to think algorithmically about intelligence work from the "what" to the "so what": how to plan, structure, execute, review, validate, and responsibly scale AI-supported analytic workflows.

Tradecraft

Knowledge Workflow Design is our method for translating expert analytic thinking and heuristics into structured, repeatable workflows that AI can support.

Through workflow dissection and task engineering, we help teams capture the questions, source lineage, assumptions, checks, decision logic, and output requirements that make recurring AI-augmented analytic tasks defensible.

The result is a reusable Knowledge Task Profile: a practical bridge between human tradecraft and AI-supported production.

Technology

Tradecraftworks is our tradecraft-harnessed intelligence production platform.

It uses expert analytic task profiles, AI-assisted collection, assessment, and drafting, and source/provenance controls to help analysts turn API-accessible data and information into defensible finished intelligence products at speed and scale.

Who We Serve

Teams that need timely, defensible analysis from complex information.

We work with teams that need to make sense of complex, fast-moving information and deliver insight their customers can trust.

Private-sector intelligence and OSINT teams
National security and public-sector organizations
Government contractors and mission-support partners
Risk, threat, investigations, and due diligence teams
Data, OSINT, and analytics platforms that need a finished-intelligence layer

What they share is a common challenge: better ways to put AI into real analytic work and get to the "So What" faster.

How We Are Different

We make expert reasoning explicit, reusable, and governed.

We start with the work

We begin with expert human thinking -- the analytic tasks, decision needs, consumers, sources, and workflows -- not with technology.

We preserve tradecraft

Our approach is built around sourcing, provenance, assumptions, confidence, caveats, review, and human judgment, anchored in battle-tested Intelligence Community tradecraft directives including ICD 203 and ICD 206.

We make expertise reusable

We help teams turn implicit analyst expertise into explicit Knowledge Task Profiles that can be taught, reviewed, reused, and supported by AI.

We connect training to implementation

Training is not separate from the technology. It prepares teams to understand and use the structured workflows that Knowledge Workflow Design (KWD) and Tradecraftworks make possible.

We focus on decisions, not dashboards

We do not compete to be the data layer or dashboard. We help teams turn real-time data and information into decision-grade finished intelligence at the breakneck speed their principals require.

Leadership

Practitioners, methodologists, and educators.

Kris Lee

Kris Lee

President and Lead Knowledge Workflow Designer

Kris brings more than 25 years of U.S. Intelligence Community experience as a senior analytic methodologist, all-source analyst, chief of OSINT exploitation, and advanced workflows and AI integration lead. His work focuses on digitizing tradecraft: translating expert analytic methods into structured, AI-augmented workflows that help teams produce timely, defensible intelligence at scale.

Training Development Lead

Jessica leads training development. With her background as a classroom teacher and curriculum designer, her work focuses on helping analysts, managers, and teams build the skills, confidence, and learning pathways needed to use AI responsibly in real work. She translates complex AI and workflow concepts -- designed by ArtSci AI’s intelligence experts -- into practical training experiences that help organizations move from AI curiosity to applied capability.
